I hear it's supposed to be bad here. I find it interesting that everyone changes their schedule due to the weather here. It makes sense but it just is different from what I'm used to.
Seriously though, I hope that its not too bad for you all. I'm honestly quite glad to be out of the snow zone for a change. Though here in NC, people act like snow is the end of the world as they know it.
I don't know man, here in Charlotte, they make me laugh (hard). I go outside and to Walmart just to watch 'em scatter 'round for milk, bread, and cheese.
I always buy windshield deicer at or before the first real cold (just picked up 2 cans). But so many people here wait until we get that Big Ice Storm, and there's just never enough deicer at that point. And it seems the lesson isn't being learned...
We're pretty well stocked on provisions, being regular Costco shoppers and all. The biggest issue is how ill prepared our municipalities are when it comes to dealing with the roads.
They were doing de-icer a couple days ago but only just today started sanding the arterals. They may have plowed, but I didn't see any evidence of that on the roads I drove.
Basically, trying to get anywhere was a mess today, and will be until the roads thaw out, which won't be for several days. We're below freezing until probably Monday.

@Texrat I think the title of Stupider Belongs to So Cal Residents, especially near the coasts.

@Texrat Hehe, it's a good thing it doesn't ever snow in Florida. ;)
